Think your build has what it takes to stand out? This is your chance to secure a spot on The Grid by Chemical Guys, an exclusive showcase celebrating the very best modified Japanese cars in the UK.
This isn’t just another show and shine. The Grid is a carefully curated display of 25 standout builds that represent creativity, craftsmanship, and modification done right. Every car featured has earned its place.
Ready to join The Grid? How to Apply
To be considered, you’ll need to submit:
- High-quality photos of your build (exterior, interior, engine bay & key details)
- Your full vehicle spec list
- Your contact details
Applications will be reviewed by our judging panel, who are looking for more than just a clean finish. They want innovation, attention to detail, overall impact, and builds that truly represent the spirit of the modified Japanese scene. Applications close on the 29th of March and accepted cars will be notified by Friday the 3rd of April.
If selected, you will receive a car pass but will require a General Admission Ticket. If you already have an Individual Display or Club Display pass, you’ll just need to use the new Grid pass (please notify your club admin). Your car will take pride of place at the heart of the show outside of the Chemical Guys Garage.

Unlike traditional competitions, The Grid goes deeper. Our expert judges assess:
- Quality and execution of modifications
- Cohesion of the overall build
- Attention to detail
- Presentation and finish
- Creativity and originality
It’s not about what the build cost, but the thought process behind it.

Everyone accepted into The Grid is already a winner. As every successful applicant will receive:

The Top 3 Builds
From the full lineup, two runners-up and one overall winner will be crowned.
Two Runners Up will receive:
- Exclusive Runner Up Skate Decks
- A Chemical Guys detailing pack worth over £160
The Overall Winner will receive:
- A bespoke trophy incorporating a Chemical Guys Big Mouth Max Release Foam Cannon
- A premium detailing bundle worth over £350
