Japfest Traffic & Parking Guide: Read and WATCH This Before You Leave

Japfest is the biggest Japanese Car Show in Europe, so getting into Silverstone Circuit as efficiently as possible is important. The below videos cover everything you need to know about vehicle passes, public parking, and traffic flow to help reduce queue times and keep entry as smooth as possible.

The key things to know before you travel

  • Do not follow your Sat Nav
  • Follow the VMS (digital roadside) signs at all times
  • Traffic is monitored live and routes are adjusted in real time
  • Be extremely respectful when driving through Silverstone village
  • Make sure your pass is clearly displayed and hanging from your mirror
  • Have your tickets ready for scanning if you have a T or B pass

Following the official signage will always be the fastest way into the event.

T & B Passes Southbound

Approaching from the northbound A43

If you are travelling southbound on the A43 (from the M1), you will be directed via VMS signage to the correct entrance for T and B Pass holders. Stay focused on the digital signs and do not follow your sat nav. Keep your pass clearly visible and have your ticket ready for scanning on arrival.

T & B Passes Northbound

Approaching from the northbound A43

If you are arriving northbound (from the M40), you will be guided to the correct entrance for T and B Pass holders via VMS signage. Make sure your B Pass is clearly displayed and your ticket is ready to be scanned. Do not rely on your sat nav, as it will not reflect the live traffic management system.

Public Parking

Approaching from the northbound A43

If you are using public parking, follow the VMS signs specifically for public parking areas. Do not follow your sat nav, as routes may be changed depending on live traffic conditions. Some delays may occur during peak arrival times, so please allow extra time.

Approaching from the southbound A43

From the southbound A43, you will be directed to the appropriate public parking zones via event signage. Follow all instructions carefully and be aware that routes may change in real time to keep traffic flowing.

Final reminder

Japfest is a large-scale event, and traffic is carefully managed to ensure everyone gets in as efficiently as possible. By following the VMS signs, ignoring your sat nav, displaying your pass clearly, having your tickets ready, and driving respectfully through local areas, you will help keep everything running smoothly. We look forward to seeing you at the show.
