Drift Matsuri DRIFT KINGS Set To Be THE BEST EVER At Japfest Silverstone

Japfest is about to go full send on April 19th as the Drift Kings demo returns to Silverstone Circuit, bringing with it a tyre-shredding lineup guaranteed to deliver one of the wildest shows of the season. This isn’t just a demonstration run, it’s a full-throttle celebration of drifting at its most raw, loud, and electrifying.
Leading the charge is Dave Bastin, piloting his SR20DET-powered AE86, a perfect blend of lightweight nostalgia and turbocharged aggression. Alongside him, Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni returns in his unmistakable 2JZ-powered GT86, a machine that perfectly fuses modern handling with one of the most iconic engines in drifting. Ryan Hughes mirrors that same potent formula with his own 2JZ GT86, doubling down on the high-revving, smoke-producing chaos fans love to see.

Luke Woodham brings a completely different flavour to the grid with his V8 S14, a car that delivers thunderous noise and relentless torque every time it hits full lock. Nathan Chivers arrives in his S15, a car that has earned a reputation for its aggressive driving style and unmistakable presence on track. Huw Savill takes things even further with a boosted V8 AE86, twisting the classic Corolla formula into something truly unhinged.

Then there’s Haydn Cruickshank, whose outrageous 1,000bhp Toyota Chaser promises to be as spectacular as it is unpredictable, while Phil Morrison’s legendary DW86 makes a long-awaited return to Silverstone for the first time since 2018, a moment that’s guaranteed to hit longtime fans right in the feels.

With even more big-name drivers still to be announced, anticipation is only building. The Drift Kings demo at Japfest is set to deliver relentless tandem action, huge entries, and smoke so thick it’ll leave Brooklands in a cloud of fog.
