Applications Now Open For The Car Catwalk
Have you built a Japanese car that deserves to be in the spotlight? This is your chance to shine, quite literally…

Applications are now officially open for the Japfest Goodwood Car Catwalk, giving owners the opportunity to showcase their pride and joy in front of thousands of fellow enthusiasts when the event returns on 3 October 2026.
The Car Catwalk is one of the most anticipated attractions at Japfest Goodwood, putting some of the finest Japanese performance and modified cars centre stage. It’s where exceptional builds, fascinating stories and passionate owners come together to celebrate everything that makes JDM culture so special.
Battle It Out for Car of the Show
The format sees 16 hand-picked cars go wheel-to-wheel in a knockout tournament, with eight first-round battles deciding who progresses to the Top 8 quarter-finals. From there, the remaining cars advance through the semi-finals, before the final two builds face off in one last showdown to decide the overall winner.
The twist? The audience decides. Throughout each round, the crowd votes for the car they believe deserves to progress, making every battle a true test of popularity, presentation and sheer wow factor.
As if bragging rights weren’t enough, the eventual winner will take home the bespoke Japfest Goodwood Car of the Show Trophy – a unique award that recognises one exceptional build above all others. It’s one of the most coveted accolades at the event and a fitting reward for the owner whose car captures the imagination of the Japfest community.

Your Build, Front and Centre
There’s something different about seeing a car on the Catwalk. Rather than blending into a display area, selected vehicles get the attention they deserve, with visitors able to appreciate every detail while hearing about the journey behind the build. Whether it’s a painstaking OEM+ restoration, a high-horsepower track weapon or a beautifully executed street car, the Catwalk is designed to celebrate quality, creativity and individuality and the Top 16 Cars will go head-to-head shoot out in the live action arena.
Every Corner of Japanese Car Culture Welcome
One of the things that makes Japfest Goodwood unique is the incredible variety of cars on display, and the Car Catwalk reflects that perfectly. We’re looking for standout examples from across the Japanese automotive world. Skylines, Supras, RX-7s and NSXs will always turn heads, but so will immaculate Civics, Evos, Imprezas, Starlets, Silvias, MR2s, Kei cars and everything in between. Modified or original. Classic or modern. Street, show or circuit-inspired. If your build has something special, we want to see it.
Could Your Car Be Selected?
If you’re proud of your build and think it deserves to be seen by one of the biggest gatherings of JDM fans in the UK, now is the time to put it forward. We’re looking for 16 vehicles with character, quality and a story to tell – cars that represent the passion and innovation at the heart of the Japfest community. So whether you’ve spent years perfecting your dream build or recently completed a fresh project ready for its first major outing, we’d love to hear from you.
