At Japfest, we like to keep things fresh. New builds, new features, new reasons to set that alarm early on on show day. For 2026, we are introducing not one but two brand new awards, and this time we are casting the net wider than ever before…
Car Park Kings
Missed out on a display car pass? Did not quite get your pride and joy onto the show field? Fear not! We are officially launching the Car Park Kings. This year, our team will be scouring the public car parks and awarding rosettes to the best 30 cars we find. Yes, you read that correctly. Thirty chances to earn bragging rights before you have even set foot in the show.
We know that some seriously special machinery ends up in the car parks every year, some even make you question whether you are actually still in the public parking area. Car Park Kings is our way of celebrating those builds and giving you a reason to still bring your A game, even if you are parking outside the gates. Think of it as the ultimate flex. You came as a spectator and left with silverware – well, a rosette to be more precise, but a win is a win, right?
Rise and Shine Awards
For those of you making a full weekend of it, we have something special lined up at Whittlebury Hall campsite on Saturday the 18th of April, the night before the show. Introducing the Rise and Shine Awards. See what we did there?
On Saturday evening, while some of you are packing your quick detailer and polishing cloths we will be on the hunt for the best 10 cars in the campsite. Immaculate paint, perfect fitment, serious presence, we want to see it all. We definitely won’t be swayed by the offer of a beer and a burger while we are judging. It is our little salute to the dedicated. The ones who load up, roll in early and turn Japfest into a full blown weekend experience.
So whether you are camping out or cruising in on the day, there are now even more ways to get recognised. The only thing left to do? Secure your public tickets, book your camping pitch and bring your pride and joy (burgers and pints are welcome).
