Live Action To Take Centre Stage at Japfest Goodwood

Japfest Goodwood isn’t just about static builds and polished paint. This year, we’ve ripped up the rule book and transformed the format of the show. The iconic Goodwood straight will be transformed into a live action arena that will feature non-stop action from a plethora of different motorsport disciplines. If you like smoke, noise, and machines being driven the way they were built to be driven, this one’s for you.

Our friends at Drift Matsuri will be bringing the smoke by serving up full-throttle drifting action from some of the best drivers and cars in the scene. Expect high-speed entries, door-to-door runs, and walls of tyre smoke as properly built drift cars are pushed to their limits.

Jap-powered Autograss cars will be popping wheelies and going full send, and while Autograss might not be what you’d expect to see at a Japanese car festival, you’ll be glad you did when you witness the lightweight, loud, and ridiculously fast chaos these Japanese-engined machines deliver. Expect wild acceleration, big slides, and wheelies that will keep the crowd locked in from start to finish.

Straight line drag monsters will also be taking their place on the grid, showcasing some of the most extreme builds in the scene. From huge turbos and custom fabrication to serious power figures, this is your chance to get up close with cars built for one thing only: going fast in a straight line.

If you think that’s all, think again. Luke Woodham will be taking out his Pro Lite truck and launching skyward in jaw-dropping jump displays, adding a whole new level of spectacle to the weekend.
